Firstly, lets look at some general tips to make dressing well that bit easier.

  2. Lay your clothes out the night before it will save you some valuable time during that morning rush.
  3. Adhere to office dress code.
  4. Your office or place of work will generally have a dress code adhere to it and you won’t go to far wrong.
  5. Dress for your day.
  6. Dependant on your work schedule and who you are meeting you will want to dress accordingly.

The outfit, Fashion advice for the office. Assuming the Dress Code in your office is business casual. Listed are some ideas for Office Fashion.

  1. Casual – Jeans, a polo shirt, a crew neck jumper or plain sports half zip and some plain black or navy runners (No flashy runners). Ideal if you haven’t got any important meetings. Its comfortable, easy to wear yet also complies with a business casual dress code.
  2. Business – Slacks of your choice, a shirt (with no tie), casual shoes, a and a nice belt. A step up in game from the casual option, you won’t stand out as best dressed but you’ll surely impress. Ideal if you have internal meetings with colleagues or your manager.
  3. Professional – Full suit, matching slacks, blazer (Leave the waste coat at home, no one likes a showoff), paired with a nice fitted shirt and dressy shoes.

A separate note on socks!

First question is footsie, ankle or regular socks. It depends on the type of trousers you wear.

If you wear tight slacks, jeans or chinos, then ankle or footsie socks are the ones for you. (if you can hack the onslaught of bad jokes about not being able to afford socks)

Regular fit trousers, its simple regular socks. Positives of wearing these are, no cold ankles, no bad jokes about your socks and less attention drawn to your footwear.

If you wear shoes such as Loafers – footsie socks are a good shout.
