Advice for Cooking Chicken Stir Fry:
In this episode of cooking advice, we will give you Cooking Chicken Stir Fry Advice! Healthy and nutritious, but also tasty! A go to dish that you can cook for anyone.
So, let’s get to it!
Preparation:
Utensils:
1 Frying Pan/ Wok
1 saucepan
1 knife
1 Chopping board
1 Spoon
1 colander (To drain the pasta. You could just hold a saucepan lid over the saucepan and pour the water out if you want)
Ingredients:
Of course, portion sizes will vary. It’s a personal preference but try remain healthy.
Mince beef
Pasta (spaghetti)
Stir Fry Sauce (Buy a packet from the shops. You might need a couple.)
Vegetables (add a small bit of veg, get some of your 5 a day! Peppers, Onion, carrot and ginger)
Some spice? Maybe you want to include a small bit of chili? Be careful, you don’t want to ruin the meal with too much spice!
Nan Bread? You could add this to your meal if your hungry or for some extra carbohydrates.
Cleaning:
Before you start make sure all your utensils and surfaces are nice and clean. Make sure you clean your surfaces as you go. You need to be careful when handling chicken. Also, It will mean less work after cooking!
Timings:
Overall this meal should take approximately 35 minutes to cook.
Chicken 35 minutes
Veg/ Sauce 20 minutes
Pasta 15 Minutes
Cooking:
Chop up your chicken to preference, make sure its small enough. That way it will cook more easily. (Make Sure you wash the Knife and Chopping board after. You have to be careful with chicken!)
Chicken cooked on its own first for approx. 15 minutes. Stir the chicken well as it cooks to make sure it’s cooked throughout. (Chop your Veg during the 15 minutes this takes to cook until brown)
Stir Fry Sauce added along with the Vegetables after the 15 minutes. Left cooking for about 5 minutes at a high heat then reduced after to simmer.
When placing the Sauce and Vegetables into the same saucepan as the meat then put the kettle on to boil water.
Once the water has boiled, place your pasta into the second saucepan and pour the boiled water over it. Although this to come to the boil then reduce the temperature down to a simmer. (Pasta will generally take about 15 minutes to cook.
After the half hour and completing the above tasks your pretty much done. Taste the past to make sure its cooked.
If you chose to include nan bread you should put it in the Toaster now. It will only take a minute or two.
Drain the water from the pasta saucepan by pouring it into the colander.
Plate up the pasta into bowls using a spoon (or a spaghetti spoon) then add the Stir Fry sauce, chicken and veg with a spoon poured over the top of the pasta.
Season your dish as you wish with some salt and pepper.
Cleaning:
Leave the saucepans to steep in water while you go and enjoy your meal.
